huntington who?

am writing this entry on the cafe PC here at chapman university (naks, feeling). it's the last full day of the seminar, and even if my brain's a bit whacked, here are my random thoughts about it:

1. it still amazes me how so many people in this country are so amazed that i speak english.
2. europeans and asians seem to be more...centered...than the other folks. oh, and southerners seem to be nicer, too.
3. living in a society that has a lot of money, education and time on their hands can make you think about a lot of things, a lot of the time.
4. i might just be, deep down, a...practical...republican...

regarding the entry title, "huntington who?":

we're in a discussion group, and somebody says (we were talking about the iraq war), "how do you think the huntington theory fits into this?", and of course, i'm as quiet and ignorant as a brown mouse, and then this funny gay mormon (bwahahaha) says, "well, (NAME), i think the huntington theory is awesome, but maybe you could tell THEM (meaning the rest of the people in the discussion group) about it."

naks. good save.

and in other news:
1. i was talking to a german girl and two folks from down south about driving, and i said, "i love butt parking", and they just found it so hilarious, and said they'd steal the term. hehe.

2. the super highlight of the seminar so far is the work of an indian poet named amrita pritam..."let me dress you in sunlight", "stars fall in the thick of night/ when they forced my mother's womb" LUFET!
